Jason and the Coppedge family are long-time friends, brought together by music.  Brittany never doubted that Jason would fulfill his dreams and was very proud of her friend.  After Brittany’s death in December 2006, her loved ones were determined to honor her memory by helping others in their fight against cancer.   “I talk about her every show because I want everyone to know what kind of hold she had on all our lives,” Carroll tells his audience.  “I know if she had survived her battle with cancer, she would not have just walked away from it.  She would have been here fighting even harder than we are.”
